Kristina Bouweiri, president and CEO of Reston Limousine, will receive the Community Leadership Award from the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia at its 2024 Raise the Region Gala on Oct. 18.
The black-tie event, at the McLean Hilton in Tysons, welcomes hundreds of Northern Virginia’s leaders in business, philanthropic, public and civic sectors. The purpose of the gala is to celebrate the impact of local charitable giving and empower the vision of the foundation to build a community that works for everyone, according to a news release.
The annual event is designed to connect the community to inspiring causes. Ticket purchases and sponsorships directly support programs at the Community Foundation, including grants, scholarships, data-driven reports, and the management of charitable assets and funds on behalf of families and individuals.
The recognition of Bouweiri at the event will commemorate her decades-long business leadership and philanthropy, according to the release.
“Together with supporters and partners, the Community Foundation board and team are filled with gratitude and love for our Northern Virginia community and all the work of the nonprofit community,” said Renée Byng Yancey, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia.
