A Boston, Virginia, man was killed in a Wednesday morning shooting in Culpeper, according to Culpeper Town Police.
At about 3:34 a.m., Culpeper County dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a shooting with injury in the 1000 block of Virginia Avenue, according to a press release from police.
Culpeper Police Department officers and Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office deputies immediately responded to the area. They located an adult male victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot injury.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the 25-year-old male to UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, where he was declared deceased by medical staff, the release said.
The victim has been identified as Noah C. Campbell.
Culpeper Police Department detectives responded to the scene to conduct their investigation, which remains active, and collect evidence. Members of Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to assist with the investigation.
